七十多年来，《Philosophy East & West》促进了对非西方哲学传统的学术素养，出版了最高质量的学术研究，将这些文化与英美哲学的关系联系起来。哲学与文化传统的关系广泛地将专业学科与文学、科学和社会实践相结合。每期都包括对当代关注问题的辩论和对最新出版物的批判性评论。
